About Us
Hello, and welcome to Within!
If you're on this page, you probably haven't gotten to know us yet. So, here's a little about us and Within's evolution. We hope you enjoy scrolling through our story.
Before we became #workwives, we met during our college days during which we would often see each other in the same party buses and nightclubs :) Although we aren't frequenting the clubs anymore, together, we host Miami's largest not-for-profit yoga event called Rise and SoulShine where 100% of donations go towards supporting different local non-profits. We host yoga retreats around the world together, from adventure filled trips in Guatemala to journeys centered around wine in Bordeaux, France. In 2018, we co-founded a yoga teacher training called The Inspired Life. Jody, who you'll get to know as our beautiful meditation teacher (and Jessie's mom) also co-hosts retreats and teacher trainings with us.
In the beginning of 2020, it was our joy to offer free yoga classes to our Instagram communities while we navigated the beginning of the pandemic together. After three months of teaching free classes every weekday, we longed to make these classes more permanent and sustainable. We loved connecting to people not just in Miami, but all over the world, and we were pleasantly surprised at how much connection was possible through Zoom, instagram, and more.
Within was born in June 2020 after one day of putting together our O.G. website. It wasn't perfect but it gave us the technology necessary to offer up our practices in a meaningful way. We're so grateful to have had the opportunity to grow and evolve since then with continuous feedback and support from our community.
We're so happy to welcome you to this humble home of ours and to offer a library of over 150 videos, release two new pre-recorded classes weekly, and host two community zoom /livestream classes per week (where we can all interact face to face!) We're incredibly grateful to you for being here. Within is only possible because you choose to practice with us. Please know, we believe in always keeping the lines open and appreciate your questions and feedback. We want to get to know you as much as you get to know us!
